Om Tara Tuttare Ture Soha

Om         Primordial Sound, Infinite,
Tare        Divine Mother who liberates                       from suffering
Tuttare    One who eliminates all fears
Ture        One who grants all successes
Soha       May the blessings of this mantra                    take root in our hearts

This translation comes from the Jiva Mukti CD by Nada Shakti and Bruce Becvar.  One of my favorite renditions of the chant.

Compassion is like sunlight, awakening and bringing joy to beings.  Its beauty is like a rainbow, lifting the hearts of all who see it.

I learned this chant when I was on a self-directed retreat in the village of Puerto Morelos, Mexico.  I would pedal my bike through the jungle mangrove and chant to Tara as I went back and forth to town for supplies.
